Sustainability is no longer about doing less harm, it’s about doing more good. We collaborated with Morgan Sindall and Johns of Nottingham to supply over 800 litres of paint as part of the refurbishment of the student halls at Peak Court, Derby.

WHO WE WORK WITH

At Peak Court, Derby, Johnstone’s Trade products were used across hallways, corridors and bedrooms. Over 800 litres of Paint 360’s Void Contract Vinyl Matt was applied to ceilings and soffits.

29,396kg of carbon was saved, with more than 45,000 litres of paint supplied by Paint 360 used across Morgan Sindall's justice contract. In addition, over 2,000 plastic paint cans were recycled across the project, delivering an embodied carbon saving of 1,080kg.

Embracing the benefits on our schools’ contracts

Previously, paint collected from refurbishment, maintenance, and repair works at the Speke Parklands school complex was disposed of through a one-way waste process. Working with Amey, this material is now diverted from landfill and reintroduced into the supply chain as part of a circular solution.

Following the success of the recycling initiative, Paint360 now supplies recycled paint for the redecoration of the site’s FM suite, demonstrating how recycled products can be reintegrated back into live operational environments.

For over seven years, Paint360 has been the sole provider of paint for Morgan Sindall’s (PPG) Clean, Rehabilitative, Enabling and Decent (CRED) programme supporting their contract with the Ministry of Justice.

CRED aims to rehabilitate prisoners through work experience in painting and decorating, stores, groundworks, and general maintenance, enabling prisoners to gain employability skills while improving their living conditions.
